As a Banker, he/she will

  • Lead the strategic dialogue with our clients at C level to ensure proper positioning of the bank offering, including Global Banking and Advisory (“GLBA”), Global Markets (“MARK”), Global Transaction & Payment Services (“GTPS”) at the right level of the organization. Increase profitability with strong alignment with all business lines.
  • Gain client trust and ensure Societe Generale (“SG”) provides the best possible services to his/her clients, in the respect of credit risk policies as well as SG scarce resources constraints (funding, risk-weighted assets).
  • Manage closely the risks and credit aspects.
  • Support the business lines on Credit and Risk related issues by being perfectly capable to handle articulated and complex risk-return assessments of both the overall Client's profile and of every specific deal.
  • Run all GLBA Financial Institution Group (“FIG”) activities in Southeast Asia and increase the Investment Banking (main focus), Corporate & Investment Banking and non-Corporate & Investment Banking profitability by:

o Coordinate action around main GLBA clients of both GLBA/FIG bankers and business lines involved colleagues with MARK focus for FIG Clients; o Develop transversal businesses and cross-selling activities with both affiliates and other SG departments, o Enhance SG institutional profile by organizing/participating in strategic events. o Maintain a senior level of dialogue within the target clients, in a teamwork effort along with the Senior Banker who is more closely focusing on Investment Banking (IB mandates), when applicable.

  • Provide light coverage of Growth clients in his/her perimeter;
  • Fully embed the GLBA ESG strategy in the day-to-day management of the client relationship to create future value/generate tomorrow’s opportunities. In line with the Group's ambition, integrate GLBA's ESG strategy in (i) origination strategy by focusing on advisory and/or origination of transactions related to energy transition and other ESG key topics (e.g. nature, circular economy, adaptation) in line with client's key ESG challenges and (ii) the day-to-day management of business and client relationship management. This integration aims to better manage ESG-related risks and create future value/generate tomorrow’s opportunities.

He/she will:

  • Demonstrate the highest standards of conduct and behavior in meeting Compliance's and business lines’ policies and procedures, and when interacting with regulators, market counterparties, clients and colleagues.
  • Know and respect the regulatory application (incl. internal rules and procedures) applicable to their role.
  • Complete the mandatory training programmes on time.
  • Undertake the actions needed as part of remediation program (if any).
  • Contribute to data quality enhancement with the highest standards of execution when related to compliance processes (KYC, Embargoes & Sanctions, GILT...) and comply with the following Volcker law requirements (when applicable).
  • Demonstrate the adequate appropriation and continuous improvement on Culture & Conduct issues by

o Adhere to GLBA and compliance policies and procedures, and when interacting with external partners/vendors, customers, and colleagues and o By identifying conduct risks and incidents and systematically processing their root causes, so as to prevent them in the future.

  • Ensure that deadlines are met (incl. for mandatory trainings, controls performance and audit or regulatory recommendations) and that mandatory tasks are of high quality.
  • Contribute to improving the data quality and ensure exhaustiveness, accuracy and prompt update of data produced or owned on your perimeter (especially Transaction Check List, Financing Platform, OtD tool).
