Purpose & Scope:

We are seeking a proactive and organized Solar Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Senior Technician to join our team, with a primary focus on daily planning of work activities and the management of work orders. As a Solar O&M Senior Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of solar systems by creating and managing work orders, coordinating with stakeholders, and overseeing maintenance schedules. This role requires a strong understanding of solar energy systems, electrical engineering, and operational planning

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage work orders for daily O&M activities, coordinating with relevant stakeholders such as town councils and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
  • Maintain tracking system for site clearance requirements and work order closures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize processes and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports on maintenance work progress.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and Lean projects.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Reporting Officer (RO)

Qualification & Experiences:

  • A diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in solar, electrical maintenance, facilities maintenance, work planning, or service coordination.
  • Relevant training or certification in maintenance planning, work order management, facilities management, project coordination, or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Training in Lean, Kaizen, or process improvement methodology would be preferred to support workflow improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety requirements and ability to comply with site safety procedures during planning and coordination of works.
  • Basic understanding of solar PV components, including modules, inverters, racking systems, and monitoring devices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders effectively and present ideas clearly.
  • A positive work attitude with a people-oriented approach.
