Job Descriptions:

Experience in Safety & Health, environment management especially related to manufacturing industries.
Experience and knowledge in ESH legal and other requirements (OSHA 1994 & EQA 1974)
To advise the employer or any person in charge of a place of work on the measures to be taken in the interest of the safety and health of the person employed in the place of work.
To inspect the place of work to determine whether the machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliances or process or any description of manual labor to be used in the place of work is such liable to cause injury.
To investigate any accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease.
To assist the employer or the safety health committee in organizing and implementing safety and health program at the work place
To become secretary to the safety and health committee.
To assist the safety and health committee in any inspection.
To collect, analyses and maintain statistic on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and occupational disease
To assist any officer in carrying made by the employer or any person in-charge of the place of work on any matter pertaining to safety and health.
To carry out any other instruction made by the employer or any person in charge of the place of work of the place of work on any matter pertaining to safety and health.
To oversight the subordinates and employees in the OSHE Unit
Other responsibilities and duties assigned and required by management.

Job Requirements

Competent Safety Officer endorsed by NIOSH or register with DOSH (Green Book Holder)
At lease Degree in Environmental & occupational health
Minimum 5 year working experience as Safety & Health Officer in manufacturing industry
Well versed in OSHA act & regulations
Experienced and proficient with environment, safety and health
Familiar with conducting data analysis and legislation reporting statistics
Outstanding organizational skills
Critical thinker and problem solving skills
