JOB PURPOSE

To support the Corporate HSSEQ Team in coordinating, monitoring, and improving Quality, Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) assurance activities across MISC Offshore projects and operations.

The intern will gain practical exposure to audit planning, compliance monitoring, governance processes, management systems, and continuous improvement initiatives while assisting the team in ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and corporate requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Assist in planning and maintaining project, operational, and corporate audit schedules and activities.
  2. Support the preparation of audit documentation, including audit plans, checklists, Terms of Reference (TOR), and meeting materials.
  3. Assist in conducting document reviews and compiling information required for assurance audits.
  4. Support the monitoring and tracking of audit findings, non-conformities, observations, and corrective actions.
  5. Assist in maintaining audit registers, records, reports, and supporting documentation.
  6. Participate in audit opening and closing meetings and prepare meeting minutes where required.
  7. Support verification and follow-up activities for corrective action closure.
  8. Assist in compiling monthly assurance reports, dashboards, and performance presentations.
  9. Support governance reviews, HSSEQ improvement initiatives, and special projects assigned by the Corporate HSSEQ Team.
  10. Conduct research and benchmarking on industry best practices, ISO standards, and HSSEQ assurance requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Management, Quality Management, Risk Management, or other related disciplines.
  • Strong interest in HSSEQ, Quality Assurance, Governance, Audit, Risk Management, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Basic understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards is an added advantage.
  • Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Candidates with involvement in safety, quality, audit, or engineering-related university projects are encouraged to apply.
  • Available for an internship period of six (6) months to one (1) year.
  • Internship commencement from November 2026.
