Safety, Health & Environment Manager (Based in Prai)

Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and monitor Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, workplace inspections, audits, and evaluations to identify potential hazards and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, review, and update SHE policies, procedures, and guidelines to support operational excellence and continuous compliance.
- Organize and coordinate safety, health, and environmental training programs, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities and external stakeholders on SHE-related matters.
- Prepare, maintain, and submit required reports, records, and regulatory documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate closely with operations and maintenance teams to integrate SHE best practices into day-to-day plant activities.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous improvement in SHE performance across the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) regulations, standards, and company requirements.
Job Requirements
- Good knowledge in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Knowledge in HAZOP will be an added advantage.
- Current certifications in First Aid and AGTES
Position Level
Middle Management
Experience
Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated exposure to EHS management practices.
Qualification
- Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety or another relevant technical discipline.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, incident investigation, emergency management and applicable regulations.
- Registered Safety and Health Officer (SHO) with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysia.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to drive a strong safety culture across the organization.
