SBST-Bus Engineering - Technician (Singapore, SG, 796010)

Job Responsibilities

Primary Objectives of Position

• Repair and Maintenance of buses.

Major Responsibilities

• Principal Accountabilities
• Ensure vehicles maintained according to the PM requirements..
• Ensure good housekeeping and maintenance of the repair bays, personal tools, personal locker and PPE.
• Ensure that spare-parts indented are fitted correctly to the assigned bus number. Spare parts unused are to be stored in a locked place at end of the day.
• Job Contents/Activities
• Perform basic service oil and filter change for buses that undergoing preventive maintenance.
• Able to perform basic maintenance and repair to the followings:
• Engine
• Gearbox
• Axle
• Brake and Air systems
• Electrical system
• Tyre
• Aircon system
• Bodywork and Fittings
• Carry out unscheduled mechanical repair work on as assigned by the Workshop Supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with all workshop Safe Work Procedures, Risk Assessment and other Safety regulations, and Engineering Directives issue from time to time for compliance.
• Unless an authorized driver, you are not allowed to drive the bus within the Workshop.

Specific Safety Responsibilities

• To observe all safety working procedures and put on PPE while at work at all time
• The above activities are no means exhaustive and are subjected to amendment whenever is needed.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education / Qualifications

• Higher Nitec or Nitec in Automotive Technology, Mechanical, or Mechatronics,

Minimum Years of Relevant Experience Without NITEC/Higher NITEC

• Minimum 1 to 2 years relevant experience in a similar industry

Knowledge/Skills

• Preferably in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
