A highly organised and detail-oriented Project Scheduler to develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules for construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure projects remain on schedule and potential delays are identified and addressed promptly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update detailed construction project schedules from planning through completion.
  • Establish project baselines, milestones, activities, logic, durations, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor actual progress against approved schedules and identify schedule variances.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules, and schedule forecasts.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to obtain accurate progress information.
  • Identify critical path activities, potential delays, and schedule risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Analyse delays and support the preparation of recovery and acceleration schedules.
  • Review subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with the overall project programme.
  • Maintain accurate records of schedule changes, progress updates, assumptions, and constraints.
  • Support project planning meetings and present schedule updates and key issues to management.
  • Assist with resource loading, manpower planning, and productivity monitoring where required.
  • Ensure project schedules are aligned with contractual requirements, project milestones, and client expectations.
  • Contribute to project forecasting, earned value analysis, and other project controls activities where applicable.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, project controls, or a similar role.
  • Experience with large-scale commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure, or civil construction projects.
  • Proven experience developing and managing schedules for construction or engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, project dependencies, and critical path methodology.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience preparing project reports.
  • Good understanding of project planning, progress measurement, and schedule performance analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with BIM, cost-control, or integrated project-control systems would be beneficial.
