Role Overview
The Senior Account Manager, FX Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share through the acquisition of new clients and the development of existing relationships across Singapore and the broader ASEAN market. Reporting to the Head of FX Sales, Singapore, the role combines proactive business development with strategic account management, focusing on originating new FX opportunities, client retention, revenue growth, accelerating solution adoption, and long-term strategic partnerships across banks, buy-side institutions, and other market participants.
The successful candidate will demonstrate deep knowledge of FX trading workflows, electronic trading solutions, and market structure to identify commercial opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and position LSEG as a trusted strategic partner. Working closely with Product, Customer Success, Account Management, and Regional Sales teams, this individual will implement go-to-market strategies and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Commercial Delivery
- Achieve individual revenue, growth, retention and targets across assigned accounts.
- Identify upsell, cross-sell, and new business opportunities across FX trading, workflow, data, and related LSEG solutions.
- Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, and expansion opportunities in partnership with relevant internal customers.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts against business objectives.
Strategic Account Management
- Own and lead a portfolio of strategic FX clients, developing and driving account plans that support retention, growth, and client satisfaction.
- Establish strong relationships with key customers across trading, treasury, eFX, sales, operations, and technology functions.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' business objectives, market challenges, and trading workflows to find opportunities for partnership and growth.
- Lead regular client engagement activities, including business reviews, strategic planning discussions, and executive customer meetings.
Client Advocacy & Market Expertise
- Serve as a trusted adviser to clients by providing insight into industry developments, market trends, and evolving regulatory considerations.
- Maintain solid understanding of FX market structure, electronic trading workflows, liquidity management, and competitive developments.
- Represent LSEG at client events, industry forums, and relevant market engagements where appropriate.
- Gather market feedback andinsights to support product development and strategic business decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Customer Success, Operations, Marketing, and Technology teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
- Coordinate internal resources to support client onboarding, implementation, adoption, and service improvements.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for commercial matters and collaborate with customers to drive timely resolution.
- Support execution of regional and global sales initiatives within assigned client segments.
Account Planning & Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate account plans, opportunity records, and forecasting within CRM systems.
- Utilise data and client insights to prioritise engagement activities, identify risks, and drive account growth strategies.
- Ensure adherence to governance, risk management, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to sales guidelines and knowledge sharing across the wider team.
Qualifications & Experience
Commercial & Industry Experience
- Significant experience in business development, account management, sales, or relationship management.
- Strong understanding of FX markets, electronic trading platforms, market infrastructure, or related financial services solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue growth, client retention, and commercial objectives.
- Experience leading strategic accounts and navigating complex customer environments.
Sales and Relationship Management
- Proven track record of generating new business, building qualified sales pipelines, and exceeding revenue targets within financial markets.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client customers.
- Strong consultative selling, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to identify client needs and translate them into commercial opportunities and solutions.
Collaboration & Execution
- Strong commercial acumen and client-centric mentality.
- Ability to work optimally in a matrix organisation and influence customers across multiple functions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data and insights to drive account strategies and business decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience working with FX trading solutions, market data, workflow platforms, post-trade services, or financial market infrastructure.
- Familiarity with MAS regulations and the Singapore financial services landscape.
- Experience working across APAC markets and multicultural environments.
