Senior Accounts Executive / Accounts Executive

Key Responsibilities:
Candidates with experience in either Accounts Receivable or Fixed Assets / Inventory Management are encouraged to apply.
Account Receivable :
- Handle full set accounts and daily operations of the accounting functions, including Accounts
- Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Treasury, and Banking.
- Matching incoming collection to the correct customer accounts.
- Ensure all collection/ payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Perform account receivables reconciliation, investigate, and address any discrepancies.
- Proactive approach to addressing overdue accounts by analyzing and understanding the rational of overdue bills.
- Submitting daily reports to management on accounts receivable operations.
- Perform monthly account closing and prepare financial reports.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closings and reporting.
Reporting :
- Prepare of Group financial statements, including the notes/schedules to financial statements.
- Analyse revenue, expenses, and margins to support business decisions.
- Prepare of presentation slide for Management meeting.
- Liaise with external auditors and company secretaries.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and accounting requirements.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and accounting-related tasks assigned by management.
Fixed Asset & Inventory :
- Fixed Asset Management
- Update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) for asset additions, disposals and transfers based on approved supporting documents.
- Prepare monthly depreciation calculations for review by the immediate superior.
- Maintain proper records and supporting documents for fixed asset transactions.
- Assist in reconciling Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) balances.
- Assist with asset tagging and the updating of asset locations.
- Participate in physical asset counts and report any discrepancies identified.
- Inventory Management
- Assist in reconciling physical stock count results against system records.
- Prepare inventory-related journal entries for review and approval.
- Compile information relating to stock variances, scrap and obsolete or slow-moving inventories.
- Maintain proper documentation for inventory transactions and adjustments.
- Participate in periodic stock counts and follow up on supporting documents from the relevant departments.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities for fixed assets and inventory.
- Prepare relevant Balance Sheet schedules and reconciliations for review.
- Provide documents and schedules required for internal and external audits.
- Ensure accounting records and supporting documents are complete and properly filed.
- Follow the company’s accounting policies, SOPs and internal control requirements.
- Perform ad hoc tasks and other responsibilities assigned by Management.
Job Requirements :
- Typically 3-5 years in full-set accounting or specialized asset/inventory management, preferably within manufacturing or FMCG related industries.
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CPA,CIMA).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and fixed asset/inventory lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous with details and good timekeeper.
- Demonstrate high level commitment, and ability to work under tight deadline.
- Must willing to be based in Pulau Indah, Klang.
- Experience with Oracle Netsuite Software is an added advantage.
