Senior Assistant Manager, Programme Management and Operations

The Nanyang Business School Graduate Studies Office is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Assistant Manager to oversee the end-to-end operations of the new Master in Healthcare Management (MHEAL) programme.
As NBS's pilot FM/PGC Symbiotic programme, MHEAL combines stackable credentials, postgraduate education and blended learning, requiring close coordination across academic, operational and industry stakeholders. The role is responsible for ensuring seamless programme delivery, student lifecycle management, regulatory compliance and high-quality learning experience.
Key Responsibilities include:
Programme Operations & Academic Administration
- Lead operational strategy, academic governance, and student lifecycle management across the MHEAL degree programme and stackable FlexiMasters/PGC suites.
- Manage programme implementation under NTU's FM/PGC Symbiotic Learning Model.
- Administer postgraduate and FlexiMasters student journeys, including registrations, candidature tracking, credit transfers and graduation clearance.
- Manage academic calendars, timetabling, assessments, examinations and teaching evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with university regulations, academic governance requirements and programme policies.
Blended Learning & Student Experience Management
- Manage complex programme delivery across online, hybrid and face-to-face learning environments.
- Coordinate operational support across multiple teaching venues and learning platforms.
- Monitor student progression and provide advice on curriculum and graduation requirements.
- Lead programme orientations, industry engagement activities, networking events and graduation activities.
Faculty & Industry Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate appointments, onboarding and support for faculty members, adjunct instructors, clinicians and healthcare-sector experts.
- Support preparation of teaching resources, course delivery requirements and instructor remuneration processes.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across healthcare institutions and university departments.
Financial & Resource Management
- Manage programme budgets and expenditure.
- Oversee procurement, vendor management and payment processes.
- Monitor financial utilisation and support programme sustainability planning.
Continuous Improvement & Strategic Projects
- Develop and enhance operational processes for a newly established programme.
- Support implementation of new university initiatives related to lifelong learning, postgraduate education and stackable credential pathways.
- Identify process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and learner experience.
Requirements:
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in programme management, higher education administration, student administration or equivalent operational management roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex programmes, projects or cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage academic staff, industry partners and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing budgets, procurement and operational processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and enterprise systems.
Good to Have:
- Experience supporting postgraduate, executive education or lifelong learning programmes.
- Familiarity with Continuing Education and Training (CET), postgraduate coursework programmes or stackable learning pathways.
- Experience supporting blended, hybrid or online learning environments.
- Experience working with healthcare institutions, healthcare professionals or healthcare-related programmes.
- Experience managing external faculty, adjunct instructors or industry practitioners.
- Experience in policy interpretation, academic governance and programme compliance.
