JOB SUMMARY
Attend to all aspects of Debt Capital Markets activities and ensuring timely and smooth implementation of assignments allocated.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in growth of the Department’s fee income
- Preparing proposals to client and relevant letters of appointment.
- Conduct research on industry and benchmarking
- Run the cashflow modelling and sensitivity analysis
- Study the reasonableness of the assumptions to the projected cashflow
- Assist in marketing of new assignments and identifying prospective clients.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct financial data analysis, industry reports, and market conditions to identify risk factors and provide valuable insights for proposals/pitch preparation.
Stakeholders Relationship management
- Liaising with clients, rating agencies, trustee, other IBs, FIs and professionals where relevant in respect of transaction related matters (under the supervision of licensed personnel).
- Preparing term sheets, proposals, info memo and other relevant documents.
- Liaising with the relevant internal departments for issuance/drawdown.
- Liaising with the relevant internal departments for CCRIS compliance matters.
- Liaising with clients, relevant government authorities, other investment banks and professionals where relevant.
- Preparing documents e.g. info memo, investors’ presentation, market updates
Compliance
- Control/regulatory/procedural matters and obtain relevant approvals for corporate bonds/sukuk/loan syndication.
- Keeping abreast with new developments on statutory compliance and to equip oneself with the relevant law and statute
- Comply with the requirements of the AMLA/PDPA/FEA Compliance Programme currently in force in the Bank and/or any amendments effected thereto together with the requirements of any other guidelines that may be introduced by BNM from time to time and the SC AMLA Guidelines
Investment Portfolio of Unrated Bonds / Sukuk
Evaluating, pitching, subscribing and managing unrated bonds / sukuk by:
- Performing preliminary credit evaluation to determine suitability / debt repayment capability of the client
- Pitching the unrated bonds / sukuk to clients
- Preparing and submitting the necessary credit application documents for approval to subscribe for unrated bonds / sukuk
- Managing the post-issuance processes such as monitoring the portfolio of unrated bonds / sukuk, carrying out periodic credit reviews, addressing ad-hoc request for consent / indulgence / variation of financing terms
Motivation of subordinates (where relevant)
- Providing guidance to subordinates involved in assignments.
- Coaching, training and developing subordinates
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in finance related field or Professional qualification
- Minimum of 3-5 years in finance related field
Skills and Knowledge
- Good understanding of various financial instruments and tools
- Well informed on the corporate, economic and political development
