PQE Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in a Banking & Finance practice of a major law firm.

Description of position:

We are looking for a driven and dependable senior associate/associate to join a team working on banking & finance and project development matters.

You will work on complex transactions across various industries, with a focus on infrastructure and project financing matters.

You will be heavily involved in the deal structuring, negotiation and documentation process, and will be expected to lead and guide junior associates.

Requirements:

• Proven track record in handling and leading corporate banking and debt capital markets transactions (project financing in particular).
• Experience in Project Development or M&A and corporate & commercial work will be an added advantage.
• Committed, dependable, driven, proactive and able to lead on transactions.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken. Ability to speak and write in Mandarin will be an advantage.
• Strong drafting and technical skills.
• Good analytical, problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues and having sound judgment are essential.
• Team player.
• Malaysian-qualified lawyer.
