This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of building facilities at Thomson Medical. This includes supervising technicians, managing contractors, and ensuring all maintenance, repair, and upgrading works are carried out efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of technicians on the day-to-day operation and maintenance.
- Propose/Recommend improvement, repairs and upgrading works when appropriate and ensure such are carried out properly when approved.
- Manage contractors and subcontractors to ensure that the services are carried out and maintained to the standard set by the Management or the Authorities.
- Coordinate repairs and improvement works with contractors, consultants and the relevant authorities.
- Provide technical support for all specifications, inspections, testing and commissioning, and acceptance activities related to Building and M&E Services.
- Plan and implement the Master cyclical and preventive maintenance programs, revision of procedures, checklists and documentation.
- Plan and oversee ad- hoc maintenance work, whether carried out by in-house technicians or contractors.
- Develop and review SOPs and Quality Procedures for the department's operations and processes, as well as training and equipping staff to carry out their work correctly, safely and conscientiously.
- Ensure compliance with the Singapore Standards, Code of Practices, Hospital's ISO and any other Statutory requirements.
- Provide in-house consultancy services.
- Renew all licenses and certificates before their expiry.
- Ensure all the maintenance contracts are in place and renewed before the expiry date
- Assist to prepare the operational budget and Capex budget.
- Performs any other duties, which may be necessary from time to time
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Building Services/Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Possess Fire Safety Manager Certificate (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in building facilities / M&E services
