Senior Executive - Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

About the role

The Senior Executive, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) supports the Group HSE function in implementing and monitoring HSE governance across the Group's property development projects. The role assists in ensuring compliance with the Group HSE Management System, statutory requirements and corporate HSE standards through site monitoring, audits, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct HSE inspections, audits and compliance assessments at project sites
• Monitor compliance with Group HSE standards, approved procedures and statutory requirements
• Identify non-compliances, recommend corrective actions, and monitor timely closure of findings
• Support the review and standardisation of Group HSE procedures, forms and checklists
• Provide HSE guidance to project teams, consultants and contractors, and escalate significant HSE risks or recurring non-compliances to the Group HSE Manager
• Assist in accident, incident and near miss investigations, including reporting, root cause analysis and follow-up of corrective actions
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)
• Prepare HSE reports, dashboards and performance analyses to support Management review and continual improvement
• Support HSE awareness programmes, competency development initiatives and continuous improvement activities

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in HSE within the property development industry
• Experience in overseeing multiple development projects and managing consultants and contractors from a developer's perspective is preferred
• Familiar with Malaysian HSE legislation, including OSHA 2022, EQA 1974, CIDB requirements and other relevant statutory regulations
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems
• Good analytical, communication and report writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• Willing to travel to project sites nationwide
