Job Description

Position General Summary

  • Support the management of whistleblowing complaints and conduct investigations into integrity-related matters. The role involves gathering and reviewing information, analysing relevant documents and data, conducting fact-finding activities, maintaining proper investigation records, and preparing clear findings and reports for review by Management.

Essential Position Functions

  • Receive, register and review whistleblowing complaints and other integrity-related matters, including the main issues raised and supporting information provided.
  • Conduct initial checks and verification to understand the allegation, identify information gaps and determine the documents, records, data or persons required for further review.
  • Support investigation planning and carry out assigned investigation activities, including document review, data review, fact-finding and interviews.
  • Review, organise and compare documents, records and data from different sources to identify inconsistencies, unusual findings, missing information or matters requiring further clarification.
  • Analyse and reconcile relevant data, including procurement, contract, payment, vendor, project, employee or other business information where applicable, using spreadsheet or other available tools.
  • Participate in and, where appropriate, conduct interviews or discussions with whistleblowers, complainants, witnesses, employees and other relevant persons, and maintain proper records of the information obtained.
  • Maintain complete, organised and confidential case files, including supporting documents, interview records, data analysis, correspondence and investigation activities, and provide regular case updates to the Manager.
  • Prepare clear and structured investigation findings and reports for review by the Manager, including the facts established, assessment, conclusion and recommendations where applicable.
  • Work with relevant business units and external parties to obtain information, records, advice or assistance required for investigation work, and highlight any process or control weaknesses identified during the investigation.
  • Support other whistleblowing, investigation, integrity and governance-related assignments as required by the Manager or Head of Corporate Integrity.

Key Challenges

Handling sensitive complaints where information may be incomplete, inconsistent or disputed.

Assessing information from different sources objectively and identifying matters that require further verification or clarification.

Understanding unfamiliar business processes or technical matters relevant to the case, and obtaining input from relevant parties where required.

Managing multiple cases and follow-up activities while maintaining confidentiality and completing assigned work within the required timeline

  • Able to work independently with guidance from the Manager and take ownership of assigned work.
  • Able to manage several assignments and prioritise work appropriately.
  • Able and willing to learn unfamiliar business processes or technical matters required for an investigation.
  • Willing to learn and further develop investigation and analytical skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Criminology, Audit, Information Technology or other relevant discipline.

Relevant Industries

  • Bachelor's Degree with CGPA > 3.0 and minimum 3 years in integrity, investigation, internal audit, compliance, risk, finance, procurement, or other related functions.
