Purpose of Role

Supports the planning, facilitation, and execution of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. Works closely with operations, production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and support teams to identify waste, reduce variation, improve productivity, strengthen process discipline, and sustain operational excellence through structured problem-solving and data-driven improvement methods.

Job Description :

  • Support the deployment of Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives across assigned manufacturing areas, production lines, or business functions.
  • Conduct process observations, Gemba walks, time studies, value stream mapping, and data collection activities to identify waste, bottlenecks, process variation, defects, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in facilitating Kaizen events, problem-solving workshops, root cause analysis sessions, and improvement projects using structured methods such as DMAIC, PDCA, 5 Why, fishbone analysis, Pareto analysis, and A3 thinking.
  • Work with production, quality, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, and support teams to implement improvement actions that enhance productivity, quality, delivery, safety, cost efficiency, and process stability.
  • Develop, update, and support the implementation of standard work, visual management, 5S practices, control plans, check sheets, and performance tracking mechanisms to sustain improvements.
  • Track improvement project progress, validate operational benefits, prepare reports, and maintain records related to cost savings, waste reduction, productivity improvement, quality performance, and other key manufacturing KPIs.
  • Support training, coaching, and awareness activities for shopfloor employees and cross-functional teams on Lean principles, problem-solving tools, waste identification, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Monitor the sustainability of implemented improvements through follow-up audits, performance reviews, control checks, and engagement with process owners to ensure improvements are embedded into daily operations.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, process improvement, Lean implementation, quality improvement, industrial engineering, production support, or related operational excellence roles.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent practical experience is preferred; knowledge of Yellow Belt training, Kaizen facilitation, 5S, standard work, visual management, and basic statistical problem-solving tools will be an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, including DMAIC, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, waste elimination, process capability, control plans, Gemba walks, and continuous improvement project execution.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret operational data such as cycle time, downtime, scrap, defects, yield, throughput, manpower utilization, and productivity to identify improvement opportunities and validate project benefits.
  • Good communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with shopfloor teams, supervisors, engineers, and managers to support change adoption and sustain improvements.
  • Hands-on, data-driven, and improvement-focused approach, with strong discipline in problem-solving, follow-through, standardization, and continuous learning within a manufacturing environment.
