Senior Executive, Payroll & Training

Key Responsibilities :

Payroll :

  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.
  • Review and validate payroll inputs, including attendance, overtime, allowances, incentives, deductions, unpaid leave and employee movements.
  • Process payroll-related changes for new joiners, resignations, confirmations, promotions, transfers and salary adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate statutory contributions and deductions, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, LHDN, HRD Corp levy and other applicable requirements.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliation, variance analysis, payroll reports and management dashboards.
  • Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely salary payments and accurate payroll accounting entries.
  • Manage year-end payroll activities, including EA Forms, Form E and employees’ tax-related matters.
  • Attend to employees’ payroll enquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records while ensuring strict confidentiality of employee and compensation information.
  • Ensure payroll practices comply with company policies, employment laws and statutory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll records and supporting documents.
  • Review existing payroll processes and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency and internal controls.

Training and Development

  • Support the implementation of the annual training plan based on business requirements and training needs analysis.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programmes, including scheduling, venue arrangements, participant registration and training materials.
  • Liaise with department heads, trainers and training providers on programme requirements and arrangements.
  • Administer HRD Corp grant applications and claims, ensuring timely submission and compliance with the relevant requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee training records, attendance, certificates and training expenditure.
  • Monitor the annual training budget and prepare training reports for management review.
  • Collect and analyse training feedback to evaluate programme effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Follow up with departments on post-training assessments and the application of learning at the workplace.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation and mandatory training programmes for employees.
  • Support talent development initiatives, including competency development, career development and succession planning.
  • Assist in sourcing and evaluating suitable trainers, training providers and development programmes.
  • Support the development and implementation of internal learning programmes and Corporate University initiatives.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in payroll administration and training coordination.
  • Hands-on experience managing end-to-end payroll, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in HRD Corp grant applications and claims is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup formulas and payroll data analysis.
  • Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
  • Able to handle confidential employee and compensation information professionally.
  • Good communication, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Must be willing to be based in Pulau Indah, Selangor.
