Senior Manager, Corporate Banking (FIG/NBFI)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Financial Institutions (FI), Sovereigns and Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs), developing strategic relationships and driving sustainable business growth across Maybank's regional footprint.
- Partner with clients to understand their business strategies, financing requirements and growth ambitions, delivering tailored banking solutions across lending, transaction banking, treasury, trade finance and capital markets.
- Lead business origination activities by identifying opportunities, expanding wallet share and collaborating with product partners and regional teams to unlock cross-border opportunities.
- Drive end-to-end credit origination, including financial analysis, transaction structuring, credit underwriting and presentation of proposals to relevant approval authorities.
- Develop and execute account plans to deepen client engagement, strengthen strategic relationships and position Maybank as a trusted banking partner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, regulators, sovereign entities and key market participants.
- Ensure sound portfolio management, credit quality, governance and regulatory compliance while delivering risk-adjusted returns and sustainable growth.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in Financial Institutions, Global Banking, Corporate Banking, Institutional Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Credit Risk or Relationship Management.
- Strong corporate relationship management and business development capabilities, with a track record of originating and growing client relationships.
- Sound credit underwriting, financial analysis and transaction structuring skills, with the ability to assess financing opportunities and deliver well-reasoned credit recommendations.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, credit risk assessment and portfolio management principles.
- Ability to develop tailored financing and banking solutions that meet clients' strategic, funding and risk management requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior executives, regulators and internal stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with sound knowledge of market developments, industry trends and the competitive banking landscape.
- Experience covering Financial Institutions, Sovereigns, Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) or other institutional client segments will be an added advantage.
- Experience working in regional or cross-border banking environments across ASEAN markets will be highly regarded.
