Senior Specialist (Inventory & Flow Management)

Job description

Join our team as an Inventory Replenishment Manager, where you will bridge the gap between advanced data analytics and grocery retail operations. Your mission is to maximize in-stock rates while minimizing waste through precision forecasting and robust vendor management. As we transition to a new Centralized Ordering (FNR) platform over the next two years, you will lead the technical implementation, stakeholder training, and long-term refinement of our demand forecasting models to ensure our supply chain remains agile and resilient.

The role requires a strong understanding of inventory management, vendor relations, and data analysis to ensure efficient stock levels, reduced excess inventory, and improved in-stock rates. The ideal candidate will work closely with suppliers, logistics, and internal teams to align supply with demand, resolve issues, and implement automated replenishment strategies. Experience in retail or e-commerce environments is highly valued.

Requirements

• Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

o Analyse demand forecasts and lead supplier meetings to communicate expected demand, resolve issues, and ensure supply chain reliability in terms of delivery rate, on-time performance, and inventory levels.

o Manage inventory processes and procurement for assigned suppliers and brands, focusing on optimizing in-stock rates, reducing inventory turnover days, and minimizing slow-moving or excess inventory.

• Supplier and Vendor Collaboration:

o Work directly with product teams, logistics teams, and suppliers to accelerate the clearance of promotional, seasonal, or aged inventory.

o Develop and execute store-level forecasting for all distribution channels, including promotional items, special purchases, and modular products.

• Order Fulfillment and Stock Optimization:

o Partner with suppliers on order fulfillment strategies to ensure timely completion and collaborate with Distribution Centres (DCs) to maintain optimal inventory flow

• Category Management and Strategy:

o Participate in category reviews to identify opportunities and provide insights to improve productivity and Days on Hand (DOH).

o Respond to store inquiries, including special requests and delivery issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.

• Digital and Automated Replenishment:

o Lead the design and implementation of automated replenishment processes

Establish a digital monitoring system to enhance inventory management and drive supply chain efficiency.
