Senior Specialist, IP and Security Planning

Job Summary

Lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient network security solutions across enterprise, ISP, and mobile environments. You will translate business requirements into effective architectures while supporting pre-sales activities, implementation, and successful project delivery.

The Day-to-Day Activities

• Design end-to-end enterprise, ISP, and mobile network security solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Translate stakeholder needs into secure architectures and technical proposals, including RFP evaluations and solution presentations.
• Lead solution planning, integration, and deployment, including the preparation of high-level designs, low-level designs, and implementation procedures.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting, incident resolution, performance optimisation, capacity planning, and network modelling.
• Develop architecture standards, technology roadmaps, and governance frameworks while identifying cost-optimisation opportunities.
• Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and vendors to ensure smooth implementation, successful project delivery, and customer satisfaction.

About You

• Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in enterprise, ISP, or mobile network security, with proven end-to-end project delivery experience.
• Strong experience in network security solution design, planning, and implementation; pre-sales exposure is an advantage.
• Strong foundation in routing, switching, and network security. (e.g. Firewall, DDOS Mitigation, IPS/IDS, NDR, SD-WAN, Router, Switches)
• Good understanding of STP/VRRP/HSRP/OSPF/ISIS/EIGRP/BGP/MPLS/QoS/IPv6/VPN Tunnel/SDWAN/DHCP/DNS.
• Hands-on experience with solutions from Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Huawei, Palo Alto, Aruba, or F5, with familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS frameworks, with strong analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and multitasking skills; vulnerability assessment, audit, or penetration-testing experience is an advantage.
