Senior Staff Nurse (Paediatric Clinic)

Thomson Medical

  • Novena, Central Region
  • Full-time

Thomson Medical is in the midst of an exciting transformation, where new ways of working, systems and processes are re-shaping.

If you do not want to miss out this excitement and believe in our purpose in empowering life journeys by caring for generations of women, children and families, we invite you to apply for the following opportunity with us!

Thomson Paediatric Centre is looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to take charge of the day-to-day administrative and operational running of our clinic. As the clinic in-charge, you'll be the main point of accountability for how smoothly the clinic runs day-to-day.

What you'll do

  • Take ownership of daily clinic operations, acting as the operational lead and first point of contact for administrative matters, patient registration, scheduling and queue management.
  • Manage billing, invoicing, payment collection and claims submission, resolving discrepancies quickly and accurately.
  • Coordinate procurement, inventory and vendor relationships to keep the clinic well-stocked and running efficiently.
  • Oversee and coordinate the roster for front-counter and administrative staff, and guide/train Clinic Assistants.
  • Ensure clinic documentation and processes stay aligned with licensing requirements, supporting audits when needed.
  • Act as the go-to person for patient/parent feedback and service recovery, escalating complex matters where needed.
  • Represent the clinic's operational interests when liaising with Finance, HR, Facilities and our Paediatricians on administrative and scheduling matters.
  • Provide clinical support/back-up during staff shortages or peak periods, within your scope of practice.

What we're looking for

  • Diploma or degree in Nursing, with current registration with the Singapore Nursing Board and a valid practising certificate.
  • At least 5 years of nursing experience, including 2+ years in a clinic administration, operations or supervisory role — ideally with experience being the operational/administrative lead of a team or unit.
  • Prior experience in an outpatient or paediatric clinic setting is a plus.
  • Comfortable with billing/claims processes and clinic administrative systems.
  • Strong organisational and people-leadership skills — confident taking ownership and being the point of accountability for how a clinic runs.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Patience and composure working alongside young patients and their families.

If you do not possess the above experience, your application will still be considered on individual merits and you may be contacted for other opportunities
