Senior Tech Specialist/Tech Specialist, Technical Services (Show Elements)

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist maintenance support to theme park Show Elements, including figure finish and preserving appearances to strict IP (Intellectual Property) of popular movies or brands.
- Scope will include all animated figures, animated props, vehicle foam & panelling (as necessary) and other show action equipment, resortwide.
- Apply knowledge and understanding of the movements and duty of the animations, adhering to a regimented inspection plan, and following up on touch-ups, dealing with wear, delamination and other repairs as necessary.
- Plan and execute scenic and finishes work as well as occasional enhancements and support to the extension of life of high value, detailed animations.
- Respond to the needs of supervisors, ride maintenance technicians and wider stakeholders including Universal Destinations and Experiences (UDX), Art Directors and other RWS Business Units.
- Utilize the Enterprise Asset Management System (Maximo) to document inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, labor utilization, and material consumption accurately and promptly.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with established quality standards and budgets.
- Adhere to Workplace Safety and Health protocols.
Job Requirements:
- High School Certificate, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualification.
- Formal training or educational background in Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Scenic Arts, Theatre Production, Industrial Design, Animation, Special Effects, or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in scenic maintenance, theming, fabrication, theatrical production, attractions, museums, exhibitions, entertainment venues, or related industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in show element maintenance, scenic restoration, asset preservation, or themed entertainment environments.
- Proficient in scenic painting, artistic finish, spraying, silicone work, use of artistic tools, stitching, limited sculpture, some assembly / disassembly and basic FRP repairs.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic operating environment.
- Able to work at height and willing to take the rides, from time to time.
- Able to perform shift work, including on weekends and public holidays.
