Senior Technical Engineer, Tender & Contract

About the role

Gadang Group of Companies' is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Engineer, Tender & Contract to join their team on a contract basis in Kuala Lumpur. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support throughout the tender and contract process for the company's civil and structural engineering projects.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and review technical proposals, specifications and tender documents to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of tender submissions and subcontractor packages
• Provide technical support and advice to the project team during contract negotiations and implementation
• Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with tenders and contracts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise the tender and contract process
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, codes and best practices
• Mentor and guide more junior members of the technical team

What we're looking for

• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a similar technical engineering role, preferably within the civil/structural engineering industry
• Demonstrated expertise in tender preparation, contract management and project delivery
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, design and construction
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate technical risks
• Proficient in the use of engineering software and tools
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
• Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
