Senior Technical Specialist (SG)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Java Lead Developer to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, cloud-native development, and modern DevOps practices. The candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor development teams, drive architectural decisions, and ensure delivery excellence across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-grade applications.Define and implement scalable, secure, and resilient solution architectures.Lead a team of developers and provide technical guidance throughout project execution.Design and develop Microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.Drive API design, integration strategies, and service orchestration.Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, Product Owners, QA, and DevOps teams.Participate in technical reviews, code reviews, and architecture governance.Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and development best practices.Drive Agile delivery and support sprint planning, estimation, and execution.Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing across teams.Contribute to DevSecOps initiatives and continuous improvement programs

Skill Requirements

Strong hands-on expertise in Java 8/11/17Thorough understanding of OOP, Collections, Generics, Multithreading, JVM Internals, Garbage Collection, and Design PatternsStrong experience in enterprise application development using Java/J2EE technologies

Other Requirements

• Lead development teams of 5 to 15 engineers.
• Review architecture, design, and implementation approaches.
• Drive technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support effort estimation, release planning, and risk mitigation.
• Guide teams in adopting engineering best practices.
• Manage technical debt and drive continuous improvements.
• Ensure delivery milestones are met while maintaining quality standards.

Preferred Skills

• Banking or Financial Services domain experience.
• Experience in cloud-native and containerized application development.
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Familiarity with performance testing and tuning.
• Exposure to enterprise integration patterns and API gateway solutions.
