Job Summary

To ensure product compliance management for Ricoh Products across APAC countries through certification monitoring, regulatory coordination and managing import and export control processes to guarantee adherence to international requirements, including EAR.

Job Description

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance considerations such as required certifications and regulatory requirements into product distribution
  • Develop, update, and maintain compliance documentation, including monitoring and tracking product certifications, declarations, and regulatory filings.
  • Monitor, interpret, and implement local regulatory requirements related to Ricoh products in APAC countries.
  • Manage and coordinate import and export activities in the APAC region, ensuring compliance with international regulations such as EAR and other export/import control laws.
  • Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and authorities in APAC countries regarding product compliance and trade control.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate compliance risks associated with local and international regulations.
  • Deliver compliance training and guidance to relevant internal teams to promote awareness and adherence to applicable laws and company policies.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Law, International Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in compliance, trade, or regulatory affairs are advantageous.

Skills

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in compliance management and process management, preferably with a focus on printing devices, electronics, or related technology sectors.
  • Proven track record in product and/or trade compliance within APAC markets.
  • Hands-on experience with regulatory bodies and handling product certifications across diverse APAC jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated involvement in import/export control, including understanding and application of EAR and related regulations.

  • Strong process management and follow-up skills, with the ability to track multiple certification timelines, renewal actions, and open issues.
  • Proactive in following up on issues, coordinating actions, and escalating risks where required.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness to maintain accurate compliance records and documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to work with regional teams and local operating companies in a multicultural environment.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple compliance initiatives and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations to business practice.
  • Demonstrates high integrity and upholds ethical standards in all compliance-related matters.
  • Fluency in English. Chinese skill is an advantage.
