Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of IP network and NFV infrastructure, including Core, ISP, GRX, and Data Centre connectivity. Provides operational support, incident resolution, and lifecycle management across network, security, and virtualized environments while driving service reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Day-To-Day Activities

  • Manage and monitor IP network infrastructure including Core, ISP, GRX and Data Centre connectivity.
  • Ensure stability and availability of NFV infrastructure, including VNFs and virtualization platforms.
  • Provide operational support and fault resolution for IP network infrastructure, network security platforms and NFV infrastructure.
  • Coordinate incidents, problem and change management activities with NOC and relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to avoid recurring incidents.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for issue resolution and system maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies, operational standards and audit requirements.
  • Support network upgrades, capacity expansion, system integration and service rollout activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, process enhancement and operational best practices.
  • Provide coaching and technical guidance to engineers within the operations team.

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IP network operations, security operations, or a telco environment.
  • Hands-on experience in IP routing & switching, network security platforms, and modern telco network technologies.
  • Exposure to NFV, virtualization, cloud-based networking, or automation/scripting tools is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of IP network architecture, security principles, monitoring, and incident management.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with vendors and cross-functional technical teams.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Willing to support after-hours operations when required and continuously learn new technologies.
