Key Responsibilities
A. Technical Support & Product Documentation
- Assist in preparing and maintaining technical product documentation, including datasheets, test reports, certifications, and technical presentations.
- Support Sales and Marketing teams by providing technical product information and documentation for project submissions.
- Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure product certifications and approvals (SIRIM, CIDB, JKR, BOMBA, MGBC, etc.) are updated and available.
- Assist in preparing technical calculations, specifications, and supporting documents for project requirements.
- Stay updated on product developments, industry trends, and building material standards.
B. Specification & Project Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with architects, consultants, developers, engineers, quantity surveyors, and contractors.
- Promote company products and secure product specifications in project tender documents.
- Assist in preparing and submitting project proposals, specifications, and technical documents accurately and on time.
- Monitor projects from design stage through tender stage and provide regular updates to the Sales team.
- Work closely with Sales teams to support specification conversion into sales opportunities.
- Maintain and update the Master Project Listing and project database.
- Gather and report market information on competitor activities, industry trends, and new product developments.
C. Marketing Support
- Support the preparation of marketing materials, product presentations, brochures, and technical content.
- Assist in organizing exhibitions, roadshows, seminars, webinars, and customer engagement activities.
- Coordinate with Marketing to support brand awareness and promotional initiatives.
- Maintain product photos, videos, and marketing collateral for business use.
D. Industry & Stakeholder Engagement
- Participate in meetings, presentations, and engagement sessions with architects, consultants, developers, and industry bodies.
- Support industry events, technical seminars, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Assist in maintaining relationships with relevant industry associations and regulatory bodies.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, Marketing, or related disciplines.
- Fresh graduates with relevant educational background are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with specification, technical sales, project coordination, or building material industry experience will have an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in specification, technical sales support, project coordination, building materials, or construction-related industries.
- Experience working with architects, consultants, developers, contractors, or project stakeholders is an advantage.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Basic knowledge of building materials, construction systems, and industry standards.
- Good technical documentation and proposal preparation skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with consultants, architects, and project stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Others
- Willing to travel locally for project visits, customer meetings, and industry events.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
