Wild Rice is Hiring – STAGE TECHNICIAN

Wild Rice is looking for a dedicated and meticulous STAGE TECHNICIAN to support our work at our home at Funan.

As a core member of our growing Technical department, the Stage Technician will work closely with our Technical Manager to:

• Support the safe and efficient operation of all the technical aspects of our venue, which includes The Ngee Ann Kongsi Theatre as well as two studio spaces.
• Ensure that all the technical equipment within our performing arts complex is in excellent working order and maintained according to the industry’s safety standards.
• Maintain strict safety procedures that adhere to our venue’s technical rules and requirements, including by external hirers.

Prospective candidates should ideally possess the following criteria:

• Minimum of Diploma or equivalent in any arts-related or technical management course, especially with regards to theatre.
• An in-depth working knowledge of the various operating systems that make up a theatre – from light and sound to air-conditioning and seating.
• A sound knowledge of all relevant safety and security policies, including fire safety and evacuation procedures relevant to a venue like Wild Rice @ Funan.
