SUPERVISOR WASTEWATER

Summary of Responsibilities
- To monitor and ensure all wastewater treatment plant effluent discharge handling are in compliance with the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974.
- To monitor and ensure the efficient operation of wastewater treatment plants.
- To monitor and ensure all equipment and treatment process units are well maintained.
- To plan and execute troubleshooting of wastewater treatment plant, including mechanical and plant process failures.
- To perform in-house jar tests and determine the correct chemical dosage for physical and chemical treatment processes.
- To liaise with independent external third-party laboratories and perform DOE submission.
- To ensure supervisors and operators follow environmental, health and safety rules and regulations in daily operations.
- To actively involve and guide operators in the implementation of the 5S system to ensure cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and sustainability of plant processes and management.
- To act as the Competent Person under the requirements of the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974.
- Other assigned duties as required.
Education & Skills Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Chemical, Environmental, Wastewater Treatment Science, Technology, or Engineering discipline.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in wastewater treatment operations.
- Possess good knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, scheduled waste management, and scrubber operation.
- Possession of CePIETSO (BP) or (PCP) competency is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and proactively with minimum supervision.
- Ability to lead and train subordinates to handle environmental-related issues.
- Good communication skills and able to communicate effectively with superiors and subordinates.
