Technical Officer (Control Centre) (Gas Network Operations)

What You’ll Do:

• Man Gas Control Centre and operate Gas Transportation Network on three-shift cycle.
• Monitor and operate transmission and distribution network and associated facilities of both Natural and Town Gas systems on SCADA system.
• Report, investigate and take appropriate measures in response to any abnormalities that arise from the Gas network system.
• Liaise with internal and external parties such as public, other agencies and authorities in normal and contingency events.
• Perform customer service functions on customers’ complaints and response to reported system faults.
• Administer the Permit-To-Work, formulate Gas Network Risk Assessment, Contingency Plan, Communication Plan and facilitate Natural and Town Gas Network release for maintenance and repair works in both Natural and Town Gas networks.
• Manage and generate reports related to gas market operations.
• Perform routine and ad hoc activities such as preparation of reports, digitization of reports, etc.
• Analyze gas customer consumption pattern and provide prescriptive operating philosophy to optimize Natural and Town Gas operations
• Analyze Natural and Town Gas network and prescribe suitable window for field maintenance activities
• Analyze Natural Gas network using SynerGee/Atmos Gas Analysis Software and prescribe operating plan to ensure Shipper’s gas nominations are delivered
• Analyze Town Gas network using SynerGee/Atmos Gas Analysis Software and prescribe operating plan to ensure minimal tailend network pressures are met.
• Carry out Control Centre enhancement and System enhancement projects
• Carry out Control Centre, System and its field equipment maintenance

What You’ll Need:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Applied AI & Analytics or relevant discipline.
• Proficient in Whatsapp, Skype, Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Words, Visio, Outlook), Microsoft Power App, Microsoft BI, Microsoft Teams, Anaconda, RStudio QlikView
• Experience with Industrial Control System (PLC, SCADA, DCS), CCTVs, NVR, DVRs, telephony systems (PABX, voice recorder), etc.
• Able to perform 3-shift operations
• Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude
• Able to work independently, as well as in a team and in a challenging environment
