Technical Officer (Electrical Powergrid, Project Management)

What You'll Do:

New Projects

1. Implement service connection projects in providing timely supply to customers
2. Assist Senior Officers in implementing major works projects and service connection projects
3. Assist Senior Officers during HT switching operations
4. Assist Senior Officers in conducting partial discharge test on newly commissioned HT cables using Oscillating Wave Testing System.
5. Conduct site safety audit
6. Liaise with relevant authorities and private land owners on road opening matters
7. Monitor project expenditures.
8. Supervise contractors in installation of switchgear, transformer, LV Board, LV Overground Box, cable and substation earthing & miscellaneous works
9. Attend to customers’ requests and complaints.
10. Issue work orders, installation orders and vouchers.
11. Update records in NOVA system.
12. Supervise the contractors in the implementing of projects
13. Perform standby duties.

Renewal Projects

1. Carry out distribution cables and equipment renewal projects
2. Plan and implement distribution renewal projects within approved budget
3. Liaise with relevant Authorities for road opening approval to facilitate implementation of distribution projects
4. Allocate manpower and logistics resources in carrying out various work activities
5. Study LV network and carry out load transfer in preparation for shutdown of cable, switchgear and transformer
6. Prepare and collate information for monthly reports
7. Issue requisition / return vouchers/ equipment installation orders/ works orders/ completion certificate/ takeover certificates for assigned jobs
8. Lead and participate in study team, task force or committee
9. Attend to customers’ complaints and feedback
10. Perform site management, safety checks and supervises contractors
11. Assist Senior Officers in HV works and liaise with the relevant parties to execute work assignments
12. Perform standby duty after office hours

What You'll Need:

1. Diploma in Electrical Engineering or other relevant Electrical discipline from any of the recognised Polytechnics in Singapore
2. Relevant working experience would be advantageous
3. Entry level candidates are welcome to apply (On job training will be provided)
4. A team player with good working attitude and basic computer knowledge
5. Possess own transport or driving license would be advantageous
