Technical Officer, Inspection

Job Purpose

The Technical Officer, Inspection is to perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) track inspection in accordance with work instructions.

• Identify and categories the defects found with references provided.
• All tracks, tunnels and the associated peripherals shall be effectively and efficiently inspected to provide a safe and reliable journey for our commuters.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the MRT tracks, third rails, tunnels, and the associated peripherals in accordance with work instructions
• Walk approximately 5km of tracks during inspection.
• Carry out the day-to-day inspection and administration activities of Pway Patrolling department.
• Support cross functional teams as and when required.
• Ensure that the latest version of work instructions/procedures are used.
• Meet the set KPIs and maintain high level of productivity and quality.
• Attend daily Toolbox briefing conducted by Person-In-Charge or Possession Master.
• Subjected to regular safety inspection/audit at worksites to ensure compliance to safety procedures.
• Carry out work / job / task as per assigned by the AE/STO/Detailer.
• Carry-out the role of Person-in-charge or Possession master duties and responsibilities.
• Able to work in team and ensure the safety and care of fellow teammates.
• To ensure proper conduct and behavior when carrying out inspection works.

Qualifications & Work Experience

NITEC / NTC 3 / Higher NITEC in the following discipline: Rapid Transit / Aerospace / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic / Microelectronic / Marine / Robotics.

• Basic proficiency in MS Word / Excel / Powerpoint.
• A good team player.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Positive attitude and open to learning on-the-job.
• Must be prepared to perform permanent night shift
