Technical Officer / Technician (Utilities Services, Power Turn‐On)

What You'll Do:

1. Carry out turn-on and cut-off of electricity and water supply as well as to take meter reading of electricity, water, and gas meters for account opening/closing
2. Perform disconnection and reconnection of electricity supply for default payment utility accounts
3. Perform water thimble jobs
4. Attending to customers’ queries on high electricity consumption and conduct site investigation on suspected meter irregularities cases
5. Handle complaints, service recovery and case investigation
6. Any other duties related to the job scope as assigned by Unit and Section Head

What You'll Need:

1. Diploma / Higher NITEC / NITEC in any engineering with at least 1 electrical module, from a local Polytechnic or ITE.
2. Must possess own vehicle and willing to use it for work purposes.
3. Conversant in SS638 Code of Practice for Electrical Installations & Electricity Regulations
4. Knowledge in MS Office
5. Able to work independently with minimum supervision
6. Pleasant personality with good interpersonal skills
7. Able to work on alternate Saturdays half day
