Responsibilities

Job Purpose
To perform maintenance, repair, and improvement of die tooling in the press shop, ensuring continuous and efficient production operations by minimizing downtime and improving die performance and durability.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled die maintenance (DSM) to ensure optimal die performance.
Repair and troubleshoot die issues across processes (draw, trim, flange, pierce).
Conduct arc and TIG welding for die repair and modification.
Operate machining equipment such as lathe, milling, drilling, and grinding machines.
Analyse problems and implement immediate corrective actions to reduce downtime.
Perform die improvement activities to enhance quality and durability.
Prepare and maintain daily maintenance reports and records.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and 5S practices at all times.
Work independently with minimal supervision and support production needs.
Perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements
Minimum qualification: Diploma in Tool & Die, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply (experience in die maintenance is an added advantage)

Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of die maintenance and stamping processes
Skills in welding (Arc, TIG) and machining operations
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Good discipline in safety practices and 5S implementation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
