TECHNICIAN (PRODUCTION)

About the role

Southern Cable Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly motivated and skilled PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN to join our team based in Kuala Ketil Kedah. This full-time role is crucial in supporting our manufacturing operations and ensuring the efficient and reliable production of our cable products.

What you'll be doing

• Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues with production machinery
• Assist in the set-up, adjustment and calibration of production equipment
• Perform quality inspections at various stages of the production process
• Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement process improvements
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production activities
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations and procedures

What we're looking for

• Relevant technical diploma or certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals and specifications
• Familiarity with production machinery, equipment and quality control processes
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of work
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the production team
