Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

Purpose of the role:

The person is responsible for driving profitable business growth through expanding intermediary network/partnerships and sound underwriting.

This role will build relationship with external partners and manage the daily underwriting operation and referrals, maintaining the high customer service level.

Responsibilities:

· Identify and establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and other relevant organizations especially external stakeholders

· Negotiate and manage partnership agreements to ensure mutual benefits and alignment with company goals.

· Identify and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to drive product innovation.

· Support product development & enhancement, market benchmarking, daily underwriting operations and referrals

Requirements:

Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field

· Certificate of General Insurance (BCP / PGI / CGI)

· 5+ years’ experience in commercial lines product/portfolio, growth marketing, partnerships management, or strategic initiatives (financial services/insurance preferred).

· Understanding of go-to-market planning, customer segmentation and campaign measurement; familiarity with insurance products and distribution journeys; basic financial acumen to interpret business performance and trade-offs.

· Commercial Lines underwriting experience, with working knowledge of rating, risk selection, referrals, policy/endorsement workflows and technical knowledge in products.

· Positive personality, proactive, able to work independently as well as in teams
