Utilities Technician

Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance during scheduled equipment shutdowns.
- Perform daily inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of boilers, utilities, and related equipment according to Engineer's instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping of the work area.
- Identify, report, and assist in resolving equipment abnormalities or failures.
- Comply with all industrial safety rules, procedures, and company policies.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures.
- Participate in environmental, safety, and continuous improvement activities organized by the company.
- Carry out tasks assigned by immediate superior and complete them within the required timeframe.
- Report any emergency, unsafe condition, or equipment abnormality to the superior immediately.
- Supervise and coordinate contractors performing maintenance or outsourcing works.
- Assist in boiler operation, utilities system monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives when required.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent working experience.
- Experience in boiler, steam system, utilities, or industrial equipment maintenance is an added advantage.
- Possession of a valid Boilerman Certificate (Grade1) is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of pumps, compressors, cooling towers, air compressors, steam systems, and piping is preferred.
- Able to read basic engineering drawings and maintenance manuals.
- Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Willing to work overtime, during scheduled shutdowns, or on standby when required.
