What you'll do:

As Vice President Credit Sales, you will play a pivotal role in managing an established portfolio of institutional clients while proactively seeking new business opportunities across APAC markets. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve originating innovative credit solutions tailored to client needs, executing transactions efficiently, maintaining transparent communication regarding market developments, and collaborating closely with teams across trading, syndicate, debt capital markets, and other departments. Success in this role requires technical expertise combined with a strong commitment to supporting peers through knowledge sharing and idea contribution. You will leverage your understanding of primary issuance and secondary trading dynamics to reinforce the team’s reputation as trusted industry advisors. By participating in regular training sessions and representing the team at industry events or conferences when required, you will help strengthen the organisation’s regional presence while contributing meaningfully to strategic growth initiatives.

  • Expand credit sales coverage across Singapore and ASEAN by engaging institutional clients and offering tailored investment solutions that address their unique requirements.
  • Originate, pitch, and execute credit opportunities across both flow and structured products for institutional clients throughout the APAC region.
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with key clients in Singapore and ASEAN by providing consistent, personalised service that fosters trust and loyalty.
  • Identify and capitalise on market opportunities to drive revenue while ensuring alignment with risk management and compliance standards set by the organisation.
  • Collaborate closely with Trading, Debt Capital Markets, Syndicate, and other product teams to deliver integrated client solutions that reflect market-informed advice.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by keeping clients informed about market trends, new issuances, and secondary flow activities through transparent communication.
  • Contribute actively to strategic growth initiatives by identifying product expansion opportunities and cross-selling relevant offerings to maximise client value.
  • Support a high-performance sales culture based on collaboration, mutual respect, knowledge sharing, and shared success among all team members.
  • Provide timely feedback on client preferences and market sentiment to inform product strategies and ensure organisational alignment with evolving industry dynamics.

The ideal candidate for Vice President Credit Sales brings extensive experience from major financial institutions or investment banksvel. where they have covered both flow and structured products across multiple jurisdictions. Your proven ability to generate revenue stems from nurturing long-term relationships built on trustworthiness, empathy, responsiveness, and ethical conduct. You possess deep insight into global credit markets—including primary issuance processes as well as secondary trading activities—enabling you to convey complex concepts clearly to clients. Your excellent communication skills allow you to tailor presentations for various audiences throughout APAC. You thrive in collaborative environments where knowledge sharing is valued; your proficiency in an additional Asian language such as Mandarin or Bahasa further enhances your effectiveness with regional clients.   • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in credit sales roles within major financial institutions or investment banks covering both flow and structured products across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in global credit markets including primary issuance processes as well as secondary trading activities relevant to institutional investors
  • Minimum 10 years of Investment banking experience working in the Asia region
  • Demonstrated ability to generate substantial revenue through effective long-term client relationships built on trust, empathy, and responsiveness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills enabling you to tailor presentations effectively for diverse audiences within APAC markets.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams where knowledge sharing drives collective achievement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills marked by empathy, openness, sensitivity to client needs, ethical standards adherence, and commitment to communal success.
  • Agility in adapting quickly to regulatory changes or market shifts while maintaining composure under pressure during complex transactions.
