Assistant/Purchasing Manager - Manufacturing, WEST(Up to $9,000 per month)

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will lead the purchasing and procurement function, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, components, and indirect spend categories to support manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage supplier selection, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery, and cost competitiveness.
• Drive cost savings and procurement optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with production, planning, warehouse, engineering, and quality teams to ensure material availability.
• Lead and mentor the purchasing team while driving continuous process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement governance, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Utilize ERP systems and procurement analytics to improve purchasing efficiency and inventory performance.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6–10 years of purchasing/procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience managing suppliers, contracts, and commercial negotiations.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, MRP/ERP systems, and supply chain processes.
• Experience leading a team and driving process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Professional procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS) will be advantageous.
