ASSOCIATE - LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

- Training Delivery and Facilitation
The incumbent will support and deliver selected internal learning programmes, including but not limited to:
- New Employee Onboarding sessions
- Sunway Toolbox for new hires
- ESG-related learning sessions
- Personal effectiveness / personal leadership training
- Other assigned internal learning programmes or briefing
sessions
Key duties include:
- Facilitate learning sessions in a clear, engaging and
professional manner
- Prepare training materials, slides, activities and learning
resources before each session
- Create a positive and interactive learning experience for
participants
- Support participant engagement through discussions, activities,
reflection and group sharing
- Collect feedback after sessions and identify areas for
improvement
- Continuously improve confidence and effectiveness as an
internal facilitator
2. Learning Projects and Programme
Roll-Out
Support key Learning & Performance projects and initiatives, including programme roll-outs, capability-building initiatives and new learning solutions.
Key duties include:
- Support the planning and execution of learning projects from
preparation to post-session follow-up
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, BU HR, trainers,
participants and vendors where required
- Assist in rolling out key programmes such as leadership
development, Career Compass, MyCareer-related initiatives, ESG learning and other L&D projects
- Track project progress, timelines, attendance, completion and
follow-up actions
- Prepare simple updates, summaries, reports or presentation
materials for stakeholders
- Support pilot sessions, learning experiments and continuous
improvement of programmes
3. Learning Programme Coordination and
Administration
Provide operational support to ensure smooth programme delivery.
Key duties include:
- Manage participant enrolment, registration and attendance
tracking
- Set up courses and classes in the Learning Management System
- Prepare participant lists, name lists, attendance records and
post-programme documentation
- Coordinate room booking, training venue readiness, materials,
F&B and logistics
- Communicate with participants and stakeholders on programme
details, reminders and follow-ups
- Support trainer and participant arrangements before, during and
after each session
- HRDC and Learning Records Support
Support HRDC and learning documentation processes as part of programme administration.
Key duties include:
- Assist with HRDC grant application preparation for eligible
programmes
- Prepare and compile required supporting documents such as
attendance records, programme details and trainer information
- Support HRDC claims documentation and follow-up where required
- Maintain proper records for audit, reporting and reference
purposes
- Ensure learning records are updated accurately and on time
- Reporting and Continuous Improvement
Support basic reporting and analysis to improve learning operations and programme effectiveness.
Key duties include:
- Track enrolment, attendance, completion and feedback data
- Prepare simple learning reports and programme summaries
- Highlight low enrolment, attendance issues or operational gaps
- Support improvement of learning processes, templates and
learner communications
- Assist in creating more learner-friendly materials, guides and
communication content
Added Advantage
The following would be an advantage but is not mandatory:
- Ability to design or enhance learning programmes
- Experience in creating slides, learning activities, learner
guides or facilitator notes
- Interest in instructional design, learner experience or adult
learning principles
- Familiarity with Canva, PowerPoint, AI tools or digital
learning tools
Confidence in public speaking, facilitation or hosting group sessions
Requirements
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology,
Education, Business, Communication or related field
- 1–3 years of working experience in Learning & Development,
HR, training coordination, facilitation or related roles
- Fresh graduates with strong communication skills and interest
in training may also be considered
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups and facilitating
learning sessions
- Good coordination, follow-up and stakeholder management skills
- Able to manage multiple programmes, timelines and
administrative details
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Positive attitude, willing to learn and comfortable working in
a fast-paced environment
