Purpose of Role
Researches, designs, and develops automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and business performance across the Group. Evaluates emerging automation technologies, conducts proof-of-concepts and pilot projects, and converts viable concepts into practical, scalable, and sustainable business solutions.
Job Description :
- Research and evaluate automation technologies, tools, platforms, and emerging trends to identify practical opportunities for improving operational efficiency, productivity, and business performance.
- Design and develop automation solutions for business and operational processes, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, secure, and aligned with Group technology standards.
- Conduct proof-of-concepts and pilot projects to validate technical feasibility, business value, user adoption, implementation effort, and scalability of proposed automation solutions.
- Collaborate with Cluster Leads, business units, process owners, IT teams, and other stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, define requirements, and prioritise initiatives based on business impact.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve automation standards, frameworks, reusable components, documentation, and best practices to support consistent delivery and knowledge transfer.
- Support the implementation, deployment, integration, and productionisation of automation solutions into existing applications, systems, workflows, and operational environments.
- Monitor automation solution performance, reliability, utilisation, and business outcomes, and recommend continuous improvements to enhance effectiveness, resilience, and long-term value.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and knowledge sharing to project teams, business users, and stakeholders to promote effective adoption and sustainable use of automation solutions.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automation development, process automation, RPA, workflow automation, system integration, industrial automation, software development, or related technology innovation roles.
- Professional certifications or hands-on experience in automation platforms, RPA tools, low-code/no-code platforms, workflow orchestration, cloud services, software development, API integration, or industrial automation technologies are highly desirable.
- Proven ability to research, evaluate, design, develop, test, and implement automation solutions that address business and operational process improvement opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of programming or scripting languages, databases, APIs, system integration, automation frameworks, RPA tools, workflow platforms, cloud services, and emerging automation technologies.
- Good understanding of business process analysis, solution design, proof-of-concept development, pilot execution, change impact, scalability, security, and maintainability considerations for automation solutions.
- Innovation-driven and solution-oriented approach, combining technical expertise with business understanding to deliver practical, scalable, and sustainable automation solutions across the Group.
