Job Purpose

The Operations Executive is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Sunview Distribution Centre, ensuring efficient inbound, storage, and outbound activities while maintaining product freshness, quality, food safety, and service level performance. The role works closely with warehouse teams, transport, planning, and quality stakeholders to support smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

• Support daily distribution centre operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch of fresh food.
• Monitor operational KPIs such as productivity, turnaround time, order fulfilment, and on-time delivery.
• Assist in manpower planning, shift deployment, and workload balancing to meet daily volume requirements.
• Coordinate closely with transport and planning teams to ensure smooth outbound flow to stores/customers.

Quality, Food Safety & Freshness

• Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cold chain requirements across all operational activities.
• Monitor product handling, storage conditions, FIFO/FEFO compliance, and quality checks.
• Support investigations and corrective actions for quality issues, damages, or customer complaints.

Inventory & Stock Control

• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Monitor stock ageing, slow-moving items, and potential write-offs, and escalate risks promptly.
• Ensure system transactions are accurately captured and aligned with physical movements.

Continuous Improvement & Compliance

• Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, and propose improvement initiatives.
• Support implementation of new processes, systems, or operational changes.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, company policies, and audit requirements.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with internal teams such as Procurement, Planning, Quality Assurance, and Finance.
• Support communication with vendors or service providers where required.
• Prepare regular operational reports, updates, and ad-hoc analysis for management.
