Head Engagement & Culture

JOB PURPOSE
Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-level employee engagement and culture strategies to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. This role is responsible for driving cultural transformation, strengthening employee engagement, supporting talent retention, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s Vision, Mission and Values.
The role works closely with business leaders, HR teams, and employees to deliver innovative and effective culture, engagement, recognition, onboarding, and diversity and inclusion initiatives across the organization.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Enterprise Culture Internalization
- Champion the internalization of the organization’s Vision, Mission and Values through Group-wide initiatives and programmes.
- Develop and implement strategies that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
- Plan, manage, and facilitate programmes and workshops that promote awareness and active participation in the organization’s core values.
- Partner with leaders at all levels to integrate the organization’s values into business operations and workplace practices.
Organizational Culture
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in employee engagement and organizational culture.
- Incorporate relevant insights and practices into the organization’s culture and engagement strategies.
- Benchmark, design, and implement recognition programmes that celebrate employee achievements and milestones.
- Lead the development and delivery of onboarding experiences that introduce new employees to the organization’s culture, values, and expectations.
Employee Engagement
- Lead and manage employee engagement surveys, focus groups, and feedback mechanisms to measure employee sentiment and identify improvement areas.
- Analyse engagement data and provide actionable insights to business and HR leaders.
- Partner with leaders to develop targeted action plans that address areas of concern and improve the overall employee experience.
- Develop and implement strategies that strengthen employee engagement and support organizational goals.
- Foster open and transparent communication between employees and management to build trust and encourage dialogue.
Diversity and Inclusion
- Champion the organization’s diversity and inclusion agenda by embedding inclusive principles into daily practices and decision-making processes.
- Lead the development and implementation of initiatives that strengthen diversity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging across MISC Group.
- Facilitate impactful awareness, education, and implementation programmes relating to diversity and inclusion.
Leadership and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on culture and employee engagement strategies that support business objectives and enhance employee experience.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Group Communications to deliver culture and engagement programmes.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, subsidiaries, internal HR teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure consistent cultural practices across the organization.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, provide advisory support, and address concerns relating to culture and employee engagement initiatives.
Project and Decision Management
- Lead major projects and initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within the allocated budget.
- Make operational decisions to keep the team and projects on track, based on data, experience, and strategic priorities.
- Identify issues relating to policies, guidelines, and processes, and develop effective solutions.
- Monitor project progress, challenges, and achievements, and provide updates to management to support informed decision-making.
People Management
- Lead, develop, and guide team members while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Encourage continuous learning and capability development to strengthen the team’s ability to innovate and succeed.
- Provide appropriate guidance, support, and corrective measures when performance does not meet expectations.
REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Social Science, or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience, with solid experience in enterprise culture, employee engagement, and/or diversity and inclusion.
- Demonstrated experience leading and implementing employee engagement initiatives, including employee surveys, engagement programmes, and communication strategies.
- Experience developing and executing diversity and inclusion strategies and initiatives.
- Strong experience working with senior leadership and managing stakeholders across multiple functions and business units.
- Experience leading teams and delivering major organizational initiatives or projects.
