IT Application Software Engineer (ERP/MES/WMS/AI/IoT)

We are looking for motivated and skilled IT Application Software Engineers with a strong IT background to support our Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Agentic AI, IoT Sensing and system integration platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing these business-critical applications to ensure smooth operations, high system availability, and seamless data integration across business and manufacturing environments.

In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, business users, vendors, customers, and technical teams to resolve system issues, implement enhancements, support upgrades, and drive continuous improvements. You will also support system integration initiatives involving APIs, middleware, machine connectivity, and data exchanges between MES, ERP, WMS, customer systems, and manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for ERP, MES, WMS, AI, IoT and related application systems.
2. Monitor application performance, system health, and interface transactions to ensure optimal functionality and availability.
3. Collaborate with business users, vendors, and cross-functional teams to investigate issues and implement system improvements.
4. Support application enhancements, new feature implementations, system upgrades, and project activities.
5. Validate and confirm business requirements, system configurations, and data flows during testing, pilot runs, and production deployment.
6. Ensure ERP processes support business operations efficiently and effectively.
7. Understand and support manufacturing processes, including process routing setup, barcode design, production transactions, and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities within MES.
8. Ensure inventory accuracy and proper stock transaction controls within WMS.
9. Validate data integrity and interface accuracy between internal systems, customer systems, and third-party applications.
10. Support system integration activities involving APIs, middleware, machine connectivity, and automated data exchange by:

• Understanding API concepts, integration architecture, and data exchange workflows.
• Supporting API implementation, configuration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Monitoring integration transactions and resolving interface-related issues.
• Assisting in data mapping, validation, and integration testing between systems.
• Working closely with vendors, developers, automation teams, machine suppliers, and business users during integration projects.
• Supporting REST API, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, and other integration technologies from an application support perspective.

11. Support machine-to-system integration between manufacturing equipment, MES, ERP, and other shop-floor systems.
12. Maintain application documentation, system configurations, knowledge base articles, and support procedures.
13. Participate in incident management, problem management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
14. Ensure compliance with IT policies, security requirements, and change management procedures.
15. Support application-related SLA commitments and system availability targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience supporting ERP, MES, WMS, AI, IoT, manufacturing systems, or business applications will have an added advantage.
• Experience in application support, troubleshooting, system maintenance, or enterprise application implementation is preferred.
• Basic understanding of business applications, databases, and system integration concepts.
• Familiarity with ERP, MES, WMS, AI, IoT, manufacturing systems, or production environments is an advantage.
• Understanding of API concepts, web services, data integration, and machine connectivity is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to support critical business systems, including after-hours support when required.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of barcode printing applications such as Codesoft or Bartender.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL scripting, database administration, and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of C#, .NET applications, or application customization is an advantage.
• Familiarity with REST API, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, middleware platforms, and system integration concepts.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, shop-floor operations, and machine integration is an added advantage.
• Experience with ERP, MES, WMS, production automation, or manufacturing-related applications is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with developers, Process Engineers, Test Engineers, Production personnel, vendors, customers, and business stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred due to communication and collaboration with overseas (Eastern) customers, vendors, and business partners.
