Junior SAP ABAP Developer

Job Summary

The Junior SAP ABAP Developer is responsible for supporting the development, enhancement, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of SAP applications using ABAP programming. The role works closely with functional consultants and business users to understand business processes, analyze system workflows, debug issues, and deliver technical solutions that support business operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements.
• Assist in developing custom SAP solutions based on business requirements.
• Support SAP modules by resolving technical issues and performing bug fixes.
• Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and implementation projects.
• Study and understand SAP business processes, system workflows, and application architecture.
• Analyze existing SAP programs, custom developments, and interfaces to understand system behavior and business logic.
• Work closely with business users and functional consultants to understand operational requirements and system usage.
• Investigate and troubleshoot system issues reported by users.
• Perform ABAP debugging to identify root causes of application errors, data inconsistencies, and process failures.
• Provide timely support and resolution for SAP incidents and service requests.
• Analyze system logs, error messages, and program execution results to resolve technical issues.
• Escalate complex issues to senior developers or consultants when necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in SAP ABAP development or SAP support.
• Basic knowledge of SAP ERP systems and business processes.
• Understanding of ABAP programming concepts.
