Pharmacy Technician

Job Description:

• Order, pack & assemble medications according to prescription / order with speed and accuracy
• Dispense medications according to operational and legal requirements
• Provide medication counselling
• Carry out dispensary and distribution processes according to standard protocol and guidelines
• Handle pharmacy phone calls to ensure that Internal or external calls are answered promptly
• Perform billing of medications to relevant payers appropriately and accurately
• Perform regular checks and maintenance of equipment used to ensure optimal function, as assigned

Requirements:

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in hospital pharmaceutical operations would be an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
