Job Responsibilities:
Electrical Electronics Engineer
- Collaborate on the design and review of server hardware schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Participate in component selection, qualification, and evaluation for server hardware (CPUs, memory, chipsets, power components, high-speed interfaces).
- Involve in system bring-up, debug, and troubleshooting of electrical issues from prototype to production.
- Develop and execute validation plans, analyzing results and driving issue resolution.
- Power integrity (PI) and signal integrity (SI) analysis and validation.
- Work with firmware and system validation teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to electrical design and validation.
- Failure analysis and root cause identification.
FIRMWARE BIOS Development Engineer:
- Responsible for the design, development, and debugging of BIOS-related functions for x86 (Intel, AMD, etc.) servers, ensuring the stability and compatibility of the BIOS;
- Collaborate with EE/CPLD/BMC engineers to complete the BIOS firmware design, development, and debugging for different motherboards;
- Complete BIOS version customization based on customer requirements, and adapt BIOS to different hardware devices;
- Resolve and maintain server BIOS-related issues, including BIOS debugging and fault troubleshooting;
- Analyze and solve BIOS bugs, and output technical documents related to BIOS design;
- Conduct research and design discussions on new product development.
FIRMWARE BMC Development Engineer:
- Assist in the development, debugging, and maintenance of BMC firmware.
- Support implementation of basic BMC features such as sensor monitoring, event logging, fan control, and power management.
- Perform functionality tests using IPMI / Redfish under guidance.
- Participate in hardware bring-up and assist in basic issue debugging.
- Prepare simple technical documentation, test reports, and release notes.
SOFTWARE PROGRAM MANAGER
- Be responsible for the software project management throughout the entire life cycle of server projects, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of the projects;
- Be responsible for formulating the software project plans, identifying risks in the project process, promoting the collaboration between suppliers and software/hardware R&D to solve problems, and ensuring the project progress and quality;
- Be responsible for resolving serious issues after the product launch and conducting software OTA releases;
- Be responsible for the release and management of server BIOS/BMC/CPLD versions;
- Participate in the construction of the department's project process, formulate and optimize project management systems, processes, and norms, and promote efficiency improvement.
Mechanical Engineer
- Design mechanical components and assemblies for server.
- Create 3D models and 2D detailed drawings using CAD software .
- Perform tolerance analysis, structural analysis (FEA), and design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Collaborate with other member of design team to integrate mechanical solutions effectively.
- Participate in material selection and evaluation for mechanical components.
- Build and test prototypes, conduct mechanical validation and drive issue resolution.
- Work with manufacturing partners to support tooling development, first article inspection, and ramp-up.
- Contribute to failure analysis of mechanical components and systems.
Thermal Engineer
- Responsible for the design, optimization and verification of the cooling systems for servers or switch devices, including air cooling, liquid cooling (such as cold plates, immersion cooling).
- Use simulation tools (such as Flotherm, FloEFD,6SigmaET, etc.) for thermal simulation analysis to evaluate the feasibility of the cooling solutions.
- Collaborate with structural engineers and hardware engineers to optimize system layout, fan selection, and air duct design, etc.
- Develop thermal test plans, leading server thermal testing, analyze test data and output test reports.
- Participate in the full life cycle development of the product, from design to mass production, and solve reliability issues related to cooling.
- Track new technologies in server-related industries, and promote cooling technology innovation.
TPM - Test Process Management Engineer
- Design, implement, and maintain robust test processes, procedures, and methodologies for hardware validation of servers.
- Collaborate with design engineering teams to define comprehensive test strategies and test scopes for new product introduction and sustaining projects.
- Assist in defining appropriate test coverage metrics and ensure their effective implementation and measurement throughout the product lifecycle.
- Facilitate risk assessments to identify critical test areas and prioritize test efforts based on product requirements and potential impact.
- Work with development teams to integrate automated tests for faster feedback.
- Drive the adoption of best practices for test data management, logging, and analysis.
- Consolidation and lead review of test validation results, and publication to relevant parties.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for test processes, tools, and best practices.
System Integration Test Validation Engineer
- Develop detailed system integration test plans, test cases, and test procedures focusing on end-to-end functionality, interoperability, and system-level performance.
- Define test scope and coverage for system-level testing, ensuring all critical interfaces and interaction points are thoroughly validated.
- Design, set up, and improve comprehensive test system infrastructure and configuration involving multiple servers, network switches, storage devices, and various operating systems.
- Configure network topologies, install and configure operating systems, drivers, firmware, and management software.
- Monitor system behavior, collect logs, and analyze performance data.
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and repeatability.
- Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines where applicable.
Project Manager
- Lead cross-functional engineering and operations teams (Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal, Firmware, Test, Manufacturing) to deliver server programs.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and budgets.
- Identify, track, and mitigate program risks and dependencies.
- Facilitate regular program meetings, track progress, and drive issue resolution.
- Communicate program status, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders.
- Manage relationships and deliverables with external partners .
EMC Engineer / Safety Engineer
- Lead product EMC & Safety delivery from end to end.
- EMC & Safety design and test, and relevant industry certification
- Work closely with R&D team and customer
- Provide product design guidance on EMC & Safety risk and make mitigation plan.
- Perform EMC & Safety test plan according to customer specification.
- Work with external lab and coordinate required EMC test.
- Analyze test results, work with R&D team to resolve known issue.
- Be responsible for new product certification factory inspection
- Summarize historical data, and conduct relevant training for R&D team
RELIABILITY ENGINEER
- Actively participate in the design and development lifecycle of server systems and enterprise network switches, providing expert input on reliability requirements.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers to implement design for reliability principles, ensuring reliability is built into the product from concept.
- Develop and validate reliability models and predictions for new designs.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses including FMEA/FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis), FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), and other relevant techniques to identify potential failure modes and hazards.
- Perform MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time To Repair), and availability calculations for server and enterprise data switch.
- Analyze reliability test data (HALT, HASS, accelerated life testing) and field failure data to drive design improvements.
General Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in any of the following: hardware design, FW development, Test, Reliability, EMC Safety certification, preferably in PC/server/SWITCH or complex embedded systems.
- Understanding of computer / SWITCH architecture, high-speed digital design principles, and power delivery networks.
- Strong programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, C/C++, Shell scripting) in Linux or Windows Server)
- Experience with test methodologies, test plan creation, and defect tracking systems .
- Experience with FEA / CAD / Simulation related tools (e.g., Cadence/Allegro, SolidWorks, Creo, FloTHERM).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of thermal management considerations in mechanical design.
- Experience with Intel Xeon, AMD EPYC, and NVIDIA GPU.
- Multi language speaking is an advantage.
