About the role
Design and implement high-performance cloud systems for building control and telemetry management. You will architect scalable, reliable systems that handle concurrent data streams, real-time messaging, and critical infrastructure operations across distributed cloud environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance cloud systems using Golang to handle concurrent telemetry streams
- Manage real-time messaging and event-driven architectures using MQTT or NATS to ensure low-latency communication between buildings and the cloud
- Optimize data storage and retrieval using TimescaleDB (or similar) for historical trend analysis and energy reporting
- Architect and maintain scalable environments on AWS/GCP/Azure using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s)
- Develop robust CI/CD pipelines and ensure high uptime for critical building control functions
About you
- Recognized degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, or Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of professional experience with Golang (Goroutines, Channels, and Interface design)
- Expert-level comfort with Linux environments and shell scripting
- Proven experience with Time-Series Databases and relational SQL performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with K8s, Docker, and managed cloud services
- Deep understanding of Pub/Sub patterns and message brokers like MQTT or NATS
- Advanced proficiency with Git
- Proven ability to work autonomously and turn high-level concepts into production-ready systems with minimal supervision
- Bonus: Prior experience with BACnet or Modbus protocols
- Bonus: Experience with Digital Twin concepts and mapping physical assets to virtual models
