Staff Nurse (Paediatric Clinic)

Thomson Medical

  • Novena, Central Region
  • Full-time

Thomson Medical is in the midst of an exciting transformation, where new ways of working, systems and processes are re-shaping.

If you do not want to miss out this excitement and believe in our purpose in empowering life journeys by caring for generations of women, children and families, we invite you to apply for the following opportunity with us!

Join our paediatric care team and play a key role in delivering compassionate, quality care to our youngest patients and their families. As a Staff Nurse at Thomson Paediatric Centre, you'll work closely with doctors and the care team to ensure every visit is smooth, safe, and reassuring for both children and parents.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assist doctors with treatment and nursing procedures for paediatric patients
  • Manage patient registration, billing, follow-up scheduling and financial counselling for procedures/admissions
  • Prepare and maintain consultation/procedure rooms, ensuring equipment and supplies are ready
  • Dispense medications per doctors' prescriptions, with precision in weight-based paediatric dosing
  • Support children and parents through vaccinations, procedures and check-ups with calm, comforting care
  • Handle patient enquiries and phone calls with a friendly, service-first approach
  • Maintain accurate clinical and quality records
  • Collaborate with support teams (Finance, HR, Property, BME, Business Office) on daily clinic operations
  • Provide cover for colleagues as needed and take on other duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

  • Diploma in Nursing (or equivalent) with a valid Practising Certificate (Registered Nurse)
  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
  • At least 2 years' patient care experience in a hospital or clinic setting; prior experience in a paediatric setting preferred
  • Patience and composure when caring for young patients, with the ability to reassure both children and parents
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through on tasks
  • A proactive, service-oriented mindset — you anticipate patient/family needs and go the extra mile
  • Comfortable working in a team and cross-functional environment
  • Mature, open communicator who owns mistakes and resolves issues constructively
  • A warm, approachable personality — with a natural ability to connect with children and build trust with families

If you do not possess the above experience, your application will still be considered on individual merits and you may be contacted for other opportunities
