Temp Staff Nurse (O&G Clinic) - 5.5 days, Maternity Coverage, 6 Months

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Nurse to join our Obstetrics & Gynaecology (O&G) clinic on a 6-month maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will support clinical operations, provide quality patient care, perform phlebotomy, and assist doctors during consultations and procedures.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, patient-centred nursing care.
• Conduct patient assessments, screenings, and vital signs monitoring.
• Assist doctors during consultations, examinations, and minor procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed.
• Perform blood collection independently and accurately.
• Process laboratory specimens and maintain infection control standards.
• Prepare consultation and treatment rooms.
• Manage medical supplies and ensure equipment is maintained.
• Support appointment scheduling and patient flow as required.
• Provide financial counselling to patients when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with MOH regulations, clinic policies, and nursing standards.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a valid nursing licence/registration.
• Phlebotomy-trained and competent in independent blood collection.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a clinic, outpatient, or primary healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience in O&G or specialist clinic settings is an advantage.
• Familiarity with EMR systems is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Patient-focused, reliable, and adaptable in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Employment Details

• Location: The Woodleigh Mall
• Working Hours:
• Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri: 8:45am to 5:15pm
• Wed: 8:45am to 5:15pm or 1:00pm to 9:30pm (rotating shift)
• Sat: 8:45am to 1:15pm
• Sun & Public Holidays: Off
